Frame VR is one of those things which in cencept is a very nice idea; being able to do meetings across different devices with cross compatibility.
I think thats really cool and accessible espessially with how easy it is to sign up. Thats about the only pro I had.

Now my issue is how many features are AI generation! 3d Model generation, Skybox generation, Character custimization generation. It felt like it was easier to generate most things rather than upload anything you’d made yourself. Which is borderline encouraging; Generative Ai should not be encouraged!

I did walk around and upload a photo to the gallery.
I also got stuck in a chair for about a minute after pressing the seat button, but I think that was user error more than application error.
While avoding anything Ai I kind of ran out of anything to do, the art I uploaded was a Meme I made during my first year as I didn’t want this website having any of my illustrations. I suspect with its high ammount of Gen-AI tools it’d scrape any image posted. (3)
I didn’t really know what else to do as I was put off.
I have several reasons for being so upset with generative ai, which leads to me not wanting to use this tool.
First I will acknowledge not all AI is bad, as Ai can be used well in games; a clear example is NPCs, Ai can also be used for good in other fields like the medical fields. When I talk in a negative way about Ai, I specifically mean “generative AI”, which is really AI anyway.. but shush. (2)
Anyway, my first issue is generative Ai encourages lack of creativity and intergrity, people using ChatGPT or other generators can lose their academic integirty, curiousity and intulect by relying on artifical intellegence instead of their own brains. (4)
the second is how genrative Ai images its built on stealing artwork (3) and the code to make many of these tools is built on effectively modern day slavery, with the code being provided by refuges and inpoverished programmers in asia and africa being payed extremely low, equivlent of one American dollar a day sometimes. (1)
The last major issue I have is the environmental impact. Ai uses a lot of electricity, 10x a google search and the cooling of the servers take a large ammount of fresh water which is becoming scarce. (5)
So in conclusion, I am a hater of Gen AI and will not be using this tool again and will not be using tools including it unless if becomes ethical – which is almost impossible.
