Walk Cycles are a type of animation used in games. It’s an animation of a character’s movement so it can appear more realistic in the game.
Animation in games is usually 24 frames per second. Although I have two animations that don’t match that below (sorry)
They both match a second per 2 steps.

This animation is 4 frames, Due to this it looks more static, but can still get the idea of walking down.
It’s only 3 frames overall with a middle frame being repeated twice.

This animation is 8, double the amount of the one above. This allows for more detail and also allows you to put more personality and variety into the walk.
